Air Kicks on Turns LCD TV Off/On

Question:When my RV air unit kicks on the 120v tv in my bedroom kicks into restart. Is this a problem with my air or is the tv just to sensitive to the power draw?



Robbie: I think your experiencing a voltage drop. Because the TV resets I think you have a bad connection in a wire somewhere that allows voltage to shut totally off when loaded for a second (Load causes an Ark at the loose connection for a split second). I'd check your Shore power plug to see if the prongs show signs on being burned or been excessively hot. I'd also check connections in your breaker panel to be sure the neutral and ground wires are tight and wires are tight at the breaker connection. Also be sure the breaker itself is not loose.

My AC does this. It tries to kick on and draws the power down. It never stays on it just tries, kicking in and out. The breaker buzzes for a second when it tries to come on. If I let it go a bit it finally tripped the breaker. So far I haven't found anything wrong with the power wire to it.

Thanks Robbie.... you were right on. I have 50 amp service in RV and have had issues with bad connection on one leg of service in the past but, didn't think about it when having the same problem as Pat from Pa.. Cleaning the connectors at shore power plug solved the problem.
